One Roof Community Housing Receives $10,000 Donation from FB&T and Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines

Proud to support One Roof Community Housing with a $10,000 donation, together we’re helping make affordable homeownership and community development more accessible.

Frandsen Bank & Trust, in partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines), is pleased to announce a $10,000 donation to One Roof Community Housing (One Roof).

“We’re proud to support One Roof Community Housing and their mission to expand access to homeownership in our area,” says Brian Shelton, Frandsen Bank Duluth and Hermantown market president. “With support from FHLB Des Moines’ Member Impact Fund, we’re able to increase our donation and further help bridge the homeownership gap for folks in our community.”

The $10,000 donation will support One Roof’s affordable housing development work and lending for down payment assistance and home repair programs.

“The generous support of our affordable housing work will help us make home a better place for people in our community - whether by our work to create more affordable rental housing or to help people achieve the dream of home ownership,” reports Jeff Corey, One Roof’s executive director. “We are grateful to Brian Shelton for initiating the process that led to this support.”

The increased donation was made possible through the Member Impact Fund, a grant program from FHLB Des Moines that matches up to $3 for every $1 donated by member organizations, like Frandsen Bank. The program is designed to strengthen the ability of not-for-profits or government entities to support the needs of their local communities.
